Helpful Tips
Below, you can find lawn care tips to keep your yard green and luscious all year round. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
Mowing
Keep your lawnmower set at a minimum of 3″ to ensure a healthy and thick lawn. Mowing too short can lead to an unhealthy lawn with multiple diseases such as a crabgrass infestation. Do not scalp the edges of your lawn when trimming; this will lead to the infestation of crabgrass and other weeds.
Watering
In the hot and dry summer months, it’s best to keep your lawn irrigated. This way, you’ll avoid summer stress and allow crabgrass and weeds to take hold. It’s best to water at least one inch per hour per zone.
Snow Molds
Snow mold is a widespread problem in the Northeast region. If you find this in your lawn after the snow melts, give it a light raking with a leaf rake to release and fluff up the grass to allow sunlight and oxygen to the lawn.
